About This Project
SurveyWorx were commissioned to deliver Area Verification Gross Internal Area (GIA) Reports across the Project, working in collaboration with the Construction & Design Teams delivering the Project.
Survey Methodology & Project Delivery
Using a combination of the latest integrated Robotic Total Station & HD Laser Scanning Technology & “Robust Survey Methods” to capture & verify accurate Survey Data, the Survey Specification was delivered both efficiently & cost effectively within the allocated timescales.
Data Acquisition/Capture
Data was acquired/captured using a combination of HD Laser Scanning Technology, Robotic Total Stations & Hand-Held Tablets. HD Scan Data was captured with significant overlaps between individual Scans to ensure high quality referenced data was acquired.
Point Cloud Data was referenced to Site Control Network using Secondary Control Coordinates observed with Total Station (1”) from Primary Control within the Building. Post-Processing/Registration was completed using a combination of Target-Based Registration & Cloud-to-Cloud Registration.
Delivery & Output

Drawings were delivered highlighting the Gross Internal Floor Area (GIA) at each level across the Project. All Drawings were passed through Quality Assurance prior to final delivery.
The completed Surveys were delivered as a digital version in 2D AutoCAD & PDF formats.
