About This Project

Fire Plan As-Built Drawings would ACCURATELY Map External & Internal Layouts of the Building & define key FIRE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT LOCATIONS, leading to improved Collaboration & FIRE RISK MITIGATION delivering a SMART Digital Twin & 360° Tour.

The Survey Specification would require a full HD 3D Laser Scan of the Building to include both Structural & Non Structural Detail along with “Specialist Ceiling Void” 3D Laser Scanning to identify & Map the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Services within the Suspended Ceiling Void. A SMART Digital Twin & 360° Tour of the Building with “Specialist Tagging” assigned to Fire Equipment & detailed within the final Building Report.

Using a combination of the latest integrated HD 3D Laser Scanning Technology, Rapid SLAM (Simultaneous Localization & Mapping) Laser Scanning & Photogrammetry to capture & verify accurate Survey Data, the full Survey Specification was delivered both efficiently & cost effectively within the allocated timescales.

Data Acquisition/Capture

Data was acquired/captured using a combination of HD 3D Laser Scanning Technology, Rapid SLAM (Simultaneous Localization & Mapping), Sony Alpha A7R & SMART 360° Tour Software.

Scan Data & Image Post-Processing

3D Laser Scan Data were Post-Processed to produce a fully Registered/Coordinated Point Cloud, using Leica Cyclone Software. Imagery/Photographs were Post-Processed to produce a SMART Digital Twin & 360° Tour of the Building with “Specialist Tagging” assigned to Fire Equipment & detailed within the final Building Report.

Fire Layout Plans & SMART Digital Twin

Fire Plan As-Built Drawings would include Building Layout Plans marked with the following: Fire Exits, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm Points, Smoke Detectors, First Aid Boxes, Main Electrical Panel, Main Water Supply, Dry/Wet Risers & Emergency Escape & Evacuation Routes.

Survey Data related to the OS Network OSGB36(15).

The final Package included; Fire Layout Plans (AutoCAD & PDF) & SMART Digital Twin & 360° Tour.
