Topographical / Land Surveys

Topographical Mapping deliverables/outputs aid in the Planning & Design process for Architectural & Construction/Engineering purposes.

Detailed Topographical Surveys accurately map & define both natural & man-made features, & determine ground relief across Development Sites, leading to improved Collaboration & Decision-Making across Projects.

Sample Topographical Specification

Topographical / Land Surveys are related to the Ordnance Survey National Grid Reference System (OSGB36) & Ordnance Datum (AOD) & delivered in accordance with the RICS Specification: Measured Surveys of Land, Buildings & Utilities – 3rd Edition.

Features to be mapped can include but are not limited to; building outlines, walls, kerbs, drop kerbs, footways, surface changes, street furniture, road markings, services, with manholes & inspection cover levels shown. Trees with a trunk diameter above 150mm would be included, with girth/trunk diameter, canopy size & approximate height. Adjacent Buildings/Structures would be included (nearest flank walls) with levels to ridges & eaves shown. Spot Levels can be taken at 5m, 10m or 15m spacing & at changes of Gradient, with Contour Mapping included at specified Contour Intervals.

Survey Methodology & Delivery

We employ the latest integrated Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, HD Laser Scanning, UAV/Drone Technology & “Robust Survey Methods” to capture & verify accurate Topographical Survey Data, with the output available in a range of industry formats to meet your Project Specification.

Survey Data is Post-Processed in-house through the use of dedicated Survey Mapping Software & rigorous QA/QC procedures to ensure we deliver consistent & reliable results.
